Silencer Shop Mobile App Now Available – Download Today!

Silencer Shop Mobile App Now that our S.I.D. Kiosk units are becoming accessible across the country, we feel it’s divine intervention that our Silencer Shop mobile app is now ready for use, too. (Thank you, suppressor gods!) With this initial version being photo-centric, several other exciting and useful features will soon be revealed. So, just a heads-up… There’s much more to this technology than a “selfie.” Patience, young grasshopper. ATF Photo Taker For many silencer enthusiasts, the all-important photo aspect of the silencer registration process involves driving several miles to the nearest pharmacy or post office for a picture that meets ATF requirements. Traffic, inclement weather, faulty equipment, and long lines merely add to the inconvenience of this step. Thankfully, those days are over! By downloading our new mobile app, you become your own photographer. After all, the most convenient ATF-compliant photo is the one you take yourself. Once downloaded to your smartphone, the Silencer Shop app—available at Google Play and the Apple App Store—allows you to snap your own passport-style pic, which we can print directly onto your Form 4. S.I.D. Kiosk Locator Furthering the convenience, you can also find the nearest S.I.D. Kiosk via the Silencer Shop app. With 300 Powered By Silencer Shop dealers participating in the initial kiosk rollout, pinpointing the closest location to you and all responsible persons on your trust is a major plus. This perk allows you and potential trustees to save time (and gas money) throughout your suppressor purchases. Info Consolidator But, wait, there’s more! After becoming a registered user, the Silencer Shop mobile app also allows you to review your personal information, as needed. Additionally, this attribute includes viewing any changes/updates that we make to your paperwork, so you have real-time visibility to your profile’s accuracy. Along those same lines, our app will soon offer you the ability to track your existing orders and provides a paperless record of your approvals. No more drudging around your personal paperwork! Summation Our Silencer Shop mobile app is here to help streamline your suppressor transactions with an emphasis on convenience. In this day and age, you shouldn’t have to get your passport photo taken at a pharmacy when you have a camera in your pocket. Silencer Shop has made this step as easy as log in, aim, and click! You should note that you will need a website account to log into the app.  If you don't already have one, it is super easy to set up on our Registration Page. With future versions sporting new and helpful features, be on the lookout for the most recent unveil of this ground-breaking application.

This is a great addition. However, could I get you to consider a windows phone 10 app as well?

    • says:

I’m not sure we have that planned.

    • Joshua says:

Yes! Windows app would be perfect! I checked but did not see it in the windows app store.

      • says:

Not going to happen anytime soon. Sorry about that.

        • J says:

Windows 10 Mobile UWP is easier to code for than Apple and Android hands down and you do not have to keep updating your code as iOS and Android are volatile OS’s, meaning their API is constantly changing. Plus with all the WikiLeaks dropping bombs about Google (Android) and Apple being in bed with Hillary, why wouldn’t you? Why not code something that is universal (works on the PC And In your pocket) same app, same code, multiple devices. You guys are saying ‘technology driven’ yet you isolate Windows 10 users…if you haven’t heard all Windows UWP apps will run on their PCs AND mobile OSs AND even the Xbox One platform as well. It’s all one platform now. No need to keep changing your code, especially with Android…hell I’d code one for u for free to show you how easy it is. On top of that you could post the UWP here for direct download and sideload onto the PC or Mobile OS thus circumventing the fees associated with the ‘stores’. Who am I kidding though…this is probably way over your heads…Ill just do it the old fashion way…no need to buy from your store.

You make a good point as to the reasons we would want to have an app for Windows. I’ll pass it along to our programmers.

  2. Grey says:

Any chance we can get a link to the iTunes store to download? Or what exactly the terms are we need to search for? I can’t find any combination of keywords that bring up the app in the Apple App store.

  3. ChrisP says:

    How do I download?

  4. David says:

Where is the iOS app? It is not listed on the Apple App Store.

  5. Anthony Ammons says:

Can not find app on Apple App Store.

  6. Arturo says:

I can’t find it in the apple App Store…

  7. HFC says:

Looks like IOS is not yet supported…

  8. Brandon says:

Will you guys get an Iphone app version? I noticed its only for android users right now.

  9. Clayton says:

Same here… Not in Apple Store.

  10. ZK says:

Same issue here, it’s available on Google Play but not the Apple App Store.

  11. Roger says:

    Same here.

  12. Royce says:

I can’t seem to find it in the App store either.

  13. Jack Sparrow says:

I don’t see the app. We are getting the run around. They tell us it will be ready in 2 weeks….. 2 months later, not even an update.

  14. brent says:

    Google play either

  15. Wade says:

Any way you can add document storage to the app. for instance i have several Stamps and you have to carry a copy whit you. Having one spot that you can take a photo ect. of current non electronic paper work and store it would be good so i could have a copy of all forms in 1 spot.

    • says:

It’s like you read our mind. That is somehting that we are working on. It will be awhile before it is a feature.

  16. Clay says:

Apple Store still has not approved the app or at least I can’t find it

  17. Joey Johnson says:

So can I buy a silencer from a shop and go to one of you kiosks and upload the form 4? Or no? If not then I have to do the paper form 4 which will SUCK!!!

    • says:

We do the form 4 for you. The kiosk is what you use to get us the information and finger prints. You don’t have to worry about doing the paperwork.

  18. Rick says:

I’m starting to think Apple my not approve the app cause “guns”. I mean they did just change the revolver emoji to a squirt gun after all.

  19. Marius says:

The Google app is all but worthless now. All fields are read only. You can take a photo, but it looks like actually taking it will be somewhat hit or miss. The $10 convenience of not going to a CVS or Walgreens is meh…

Still haven’t seen the iPhone app.

No Kiosks near me either (at least according to the locate) in the app. The month I waited for them to implement this pretty much all but offset the benefit of having it.

    • says:

Right now they are read only feilds. In the furture this will change. The goal was to get the app out so that people could take pictures and submit them to us. You can always send in a photo.
Iphone app is just awaiting approval. It has been with them for over a week.
There is a kiosk going in 3 miles from your zip code. The reason that it doesn’t show in the app is that it is not set up yet. The FFL is PUBLIC GUN OF POMPANO INC in HOLLYWOOD, FL

  20. Alex says:

Drove over an hour to a kiosk today because of delays getting one running locally. There was no photo option. Do not have access to an Android device. I don’t blame you for iTunes access, I can see why a company like that would stonewall you while letting companies put up apps that steal your information and money, that sounds about right. But… why is there no internet webcam option, and why is there no kiosk photo option?

    • says:

You have a couple of options. You can have photos done at a Walgreens or something similar. Or you can take a photo from the shoulders up on a neutral background and email it to us. This should help till the Iphone app is out, which could literally be released any day now.
The webcam on the kiosk won’t work for photos. We tried that a first but it was a no go.

  21. Jack Sparrow says:

Love silencer shop for making things easier but they obviously are feeling the heat regarding the upcoming election and new protocol for suppressor purchase by individuals. You all don’t have to keep leading people on. I am a loyal customer, just tell us when it will ACTUALLY be before we can be proactive in purchasing and approving a suppressor.

Is there a single kiosk up in running in the entire country? If so, is it fully functional meaning once we leave the kiosk, our suppressor paper work can be immediately sent to the ATF? I have a feeling that these kiosks have not even been approved by the ATF etc.

You all have a great reputation; don’t ruin it by lying to customers.

    • Hunter says:

there’s at least 2 shops near me that have kiosks that are setup and functional. I’ve bought my suppressor, done my fingerprints, and just waiting until my wife has the time to go and do hers. Silencer Shop has never said the kiosk would be doing passport photos but only that the app would be or that you had the option of sending them physical passport photos for them to send in with your paperwork. Silencer Shop wouldn’t be setting up the kiosks if they didn’t have BATFE approval

  22. Robert says:

Is there a link on the website to search where kiosks are that I am missing or is this only in mobile app???? I have iPhone so just waiting.

    • says:

Yes you can search all the FFL’s that have a kiosk here . Also the iPhone App is in the app store under Silencer Shop.

  23. Josh says:

After I take a photo with the app, size my photo, and complete the upload, The SID says I still need a photo uploaded.. Does it take a few hours for the app and site to communicate?

    • says:

SID will say that you need to submit a photo even if you submit one. The thought is that most people will visit the kiosk first. If you receive an email from us saying that you need to submit a photo then it did not upload.

  24. Ryan Dykhouse says:

iOS app crashes each time I try and take the photo. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times but get the same result. Any ideas? Thanks!
